Dalgety Bay and Hillend Community Council Grants Criteria
The Community Council has limited funds to make grants for the benefit of residents in the local community. Applicants may be individuals or local organisations including autonomous local branches of larger organisations.
Community Council Grants are given to assist in the development of local activities of all kinds by contributing to start up costs or to one-off project costs. Consideration will not be given to applications for funds to cover general administrative expenses or the cost of ongoing activities.
Grants are made solely at the discretion of the Community Council. Each grant application will be considered on its own merits. In the event that demand outstrips the funds available, the Community Council will prioritize grant applications.
Organisations may receive only one grant in any two-year period.
The Community Council may make exceptions to these rules. These will be specifically agreed by the full council and must be justified on the grounds of special benefits to the community.
Applicants should submit requests for grants to Roy Green (Secretary)
either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
or by post to 35 Dalgety Gardens, Dalgety Bay KY11 9LF
How the money is to be spent and if appropriate alternative sources of funding have been explored.
If applicable, organisations should include a copy of their latest accounts with the request for a grant.
Applicants may be invited to meet with the Finance Sub-Committee
