OUR VISION TO BUILD A NEW GATEWAY FOR DALGETY BAY
Scarborough Muir Group has owned this 2.13 hectare site, located at the entrance to Donibristle Industrial Estate, since 2007 with the intention of redeveloping it as a gateway into Dalgety Bay. The existing buildings, dating from the 1950s, have now come to the end of their useable life and the industrial estate is in much need of ancillary uses to support the existing occupiers and attract new businesses to the area.
This major application brings the prospect of a £4m investment creating up to 100 new jobs – a mixture of full and part-time positions for local people – in addition to retaining 40 existing jobs on site.
Our plans are to demolish the existing buildings and to redevelop the site to provide:
A new purpose-built Play Planet for this popular children’s indoor play centre
A new business unit to accommodate existing operators York EMC Services
A new small supermarket
A family pub restaurant
A new drive-thru coffee shop – the first in Fife
Car parking for 238 cars and associated landscaping
Before submitting an application, Scarborough Muir Group will be consulting with the local community. As part of this consultation there will be a public exhibition of the proposals on Friday 24th May at Play Planet, Donibristle Industrial Estate between 12noon and 7pm.
On behalf of Scarborough Muir Group, I would like to invite you and your community council colleagues to a preview of our plans. This will be held at Play Planet on Friday 24th May between 11am and 12noon when members of the development team will be on hand to explain the proposals and answer any questions that you may have.
I very much hope that you can join us to hear more about these interesting plans for Dalgety Bay
